The company, headquartered in Sant Feliu De Llobregat, Spain, is engaged in the production and distribution of a wide range of products for the food industry. It was co-founded by Daniel Hausmann Montaner and Mario Rotllant de Franch in 1950 under the name Specialities Dallant in order to give to the incipient industry of soft drinks their knowledge about raw materials and their possibilities. In 1961, it changed its name to Dallant SA to facilitate the application of new aromas and flavors to food industry. The company offers diverse products, including emulsions, flavorings and solubles, concentrated fruit juices, compounds or bases for soft drinks, sweets, chewing-gums, snacks and dry fruit, processed meats and foodstuff, frozen and pre-cooked meals, bread-making and savoury pastries, milky drinks and yoghurt, filling type cream and pastaromas, fruit and plant distillates, fruit and plant extracts, and flavorings for all types of ice-creams and water ices. Its Research and Development as well as the technological innovation departments look into the knowledge of the food and its applications by collaborating with the most prestigious universities, applying the bromatology principles to new products department, and improving the most prestigious recipes as well. Through its own or associated companies, it distributes its flavors to distant and diverse countries, including Egypt and Morocco.
